Tissue-specific dna repair activity of ercc-1/xpf-1

HIGHLIGHTS

  • who: Mariangela Sabatella from the Oncode Institute University Erasmus , GD Rotterdam, the Netherlands have published the paper: Tissue-Specific DNA Repair Activity of ERCC-1/XPF-1, in the Journal: (JOURNAL) of January/12,/2021
  • what: The authors show that XPF-1 exhibits a tissue-specific spatiotemporal response to UV damage suggestive of a difference between the activity of GG-NER and TC-NER in meiotic germ cells, muscles, and neurons. Using in_vivo imaging, the authors show that in oocytes, the DNA repair activity of ERCC-1/XPF-1 fully depends on GG-NER.
