While mitochondrial ROS may also directly regulate cyclophilin D in this pathway, the work shows it is unlikely their predominant role- interventions that remove mitochondrial Ca2+ uptake, while maintaining TNF-induced mitochondrial ROS, inhibit necrosis . . .
