Tolerability of n-chlorotaurine in comparison with routinely used antiseptics: an in vitro study on chondrocytes

HIGHLIGHTS

• What: The aim of this study was to assess the cytotoxic effect of and H ­ 2O2 on human chondrocytes compared to a control group in an in vitro setting to get first indications if might be a promising antiseptic in the treatment of septic joint infections for the future. The aim of this study was to collect further information about their in_vitro cytotoxicity by evaluating the cell viability and nuclear morphology of human chondrocytes in an in_vitro setting.
