    Early functional signs such as diarrhea, constipation, colic, gastroesophageal reflux, night-time awakening, and other infant sleep troubles seem to be more frequent in infants with a mother suffering from MPD. Could early clinical signs in the infant signal possible psychological suffering on the part of the mother-and therefore offer an avenue for improving the detection of MPD and beginning treatment as early as possible?
