SUMMARY
One Health is an approach that connects public health, veterinary and environmental sectors. Implementing a One Health approach can lead to enhanced disease control, biosecurity procedures, and can identify opportunities for health promotion and risk mitigation on the human-animal-environment interface. A key premise for enabling the implementation of the One Health approach is the translation of knowledge across research disciplines, and from scientists to policy-makers.
