Seira nigromaculata Lubbock, 1873 was separated from the genus Seira Lubbock, 1869 and a new genus Willowsia Shoebotham, 1917 was erected by Shoebotham as it differs from Seira in having a bidented mucro with a basal spine, dens without scales and some species with sexual dimorphism . . .
