- what: The work shows that Al can be detected at pH > 5.7 and that Al signal pathway can be uncoupled from its toxicity. The authors have selected a specific agar medium characterized by a low content in P, Fe, and Al. This experiment shows that at pH 5.7, Al is not toxic at concentrations u2264 50 u00b5M AlCl3, even in the hypersensitive stop1 . . .
