Utilizing solid phase sorbents with various functional groups based on the hasab principle for recovering platinum group metals from secondary sources

HIGHLIGHTS

• What: Solid phase extraction has recently gained popularity due to its simplicity, speed, versatility, ease of automation, and low solvent usage , which is the focus of this study. The study revealed that SAX, CN, and DOS sorbents can be used for at least six retentions and elution cycles without losing retention efficiency. The primary reason for the increasing decrease in retention efficiency is the significant loss of DETA from the C18 substrate due to its high solubility in the aqueous solution.
