SUMMARY

    Many chronic diseases, such as autoimmune disorders, cancer and metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, are positively correlated with the imbalance of antioxidants and prooxidants in favor of prooxidants, leading to the formation of high levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS).
