In this study, the melatonin contents of 269 traditional landraces and 80 modern cultivars from China, as well as 101 accessions collected from 26 other countries, were determined by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) to reveal the melatonin content distribution in sesame.
