SUMMARY
Art can be used to develop observational skills in students, and can provide an innovative mechanism for students to develop higher levels of awareness and sensitivity to change. Several studies have investigated how to teach and improve skills such as visual literacy, teamwork, critical thinking, empathy and active listening among healthcare students. Important is the choice of images, which, rich in details and easily resolved ambiguities, must correspond to the cultural level of the group and be unfamiliar to the participants, precisely because, from these, a discussion must be activated based on their knowledge . . .
