Wear behaviour of nanostructured polymer-based safety films on soda-lime glass

HIGHLIGHTS

  • who: C. N. Panagopoulos et al. from the Laboratory of Physical Metallurgy, National Technical University of Athens, Zografos, Athens, Greece have published the paper: Wear Behaviour of Nanostructured Polymer-Based Safety Films on Soda-Lime Glass, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
  • what: In this work the frictional behaviour of these coatings on glass were evaluated and compared to those of bare soda-lime glass. The main reason for selecting a stainless steel counterface is because, in many industrial and technological applications, polymeric coated glasses are in direct contact with metallic materials (e_g, metallic frames).
