SUMMARY
Forest canopy harbors 40-50% of the global terrestrial biodiversity, of which nearly 10% is restricted to this specific environment (Ozanne et_al, 2003; Basset et_al, 2012). The so-called "last biological frontier" (Lowman and Nadkarni, 1995; Stork et_al, 1997; Lowman and Rinker, 2004) has been considered as one of the most diverse, but little-known habitats in the biosphere (Lowman and Schowalter, 2012).
