Xrcc1 and xpd polymorphisms: clinical outcomes and risk of prostate cancer in bangladeshi population

  • What: The authors evaluated the associations between these genetic polymorphisms and the risk of PCa in the Bangladeshi population. The authors found that PCa patients with XRCC1 codon 194 Trp/Trp genotype were 5.51 times at higher risk of PCa compared with controls than those carrying the Arg/Arg genotype. Most patients (68.94%) included in the study had serum creatinine levels within the normal range of 0.7-1.3 mg/dL.
