Strategies to overcome drought stress for improving plant growth under sustainable agriculture

• What: Rapid increase in population, variation in climatic conditions and biofuel crop development are the main reasons for water shortage and rising concerns about food security and environment sustainability worldwide (Qiu et_al, 2012). The aim of this review is to examine the mechanisms by which PGPR enhance plant growth, and how they may be used as bio-inoculants to promote sustainable agricultural production in areas where there is a water scarcity.
