  • What: The aim of this study was to examine the interrelationship, both short-term and long-term, between foreign direct investment (FDI), trade (exports and imports), and economic growth in South Africa, utilising annual data from 1988 to 2022. This study demonstrated that economic growth is positively correlated with FDI and exports, while adversely correlated with imports.
