- What: This study investigates the distribution and abundance of gastropods in two study sites with distinct management regimes: Matang Forest Reserve (MMFR) and Setiu Wetlands (SW) in Peninsular Malaysia. This study provides precise assessments of species distribution across various microhabitats offering essential baseline data for future ecological monitoring. By investigating how environmental conditions and management practices differ between SW and MMFR, the study aims to elucidate their impact on gastropod diversity and abundance. This approach aligns with the primary research objective of evaluating the ecological role of gastropods and their contribution to ecosystem health and sustainability.
