Ethical permission for the study was granted by the University of Nottingham Animal Welfare Ethical Review Body (AWERB). Pigs were group-housed under directives set by the Department of Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), as specified in The Welfare of Farmed Animals (England) Regulations, thus replicating the standards . . .
