Classification and prediction of heart disease using machine learning models: a promising approach for medical diagnosis

• What: In Ecuador, ischemic heart disease is the principal cause of death in the population, with approximately 8,779 deaths , while in Costa Rica, cardiovascular diseases are among the main reasons for death . In this stage, the models are fitted, aiming to minimize the error between the predictions generated by the model and the data applied in its training. Once the models were trained, the authors evaluated their performance using the test set.
