- What: The aim of this study was to address this gap by examining the impact of both active (cooling vest) and passive cooling interventions (PPE removal) on WFFs` physiological strain. This study aimed to assess the impact of wearing a cooling vest or removing the top part of the PPE ensemble during intermittent rest periods on the thermal strain and tolerance time of WFFs.
