In-silico and in-vitro investigation of key long non-coding rnas involved in 5-fluorouracil resistance in colorectal cancer cells: analyses highlighting neat1 and malat1 as contributors

• What: This study aims to identify key lncRNAs associated with 5-FU resistance in CRC using bioinformatic and experimental validation approaches. The authors seek to contribute to developing targeted therapeutic strategies to enhance CRC treatment. The authors observed significant overexpression of MALAT1 in the 5-FU-resistant sub-cell line compared to its parental cells, consistent with findings in different types of cancer.
