- What: The authors explore numerically the impact of different types of inter-layer coupling on the dynamics of a two-layer multiplex network of coupled FitzHugh- Nagumo oscillators in the excitable regime. The studies have shown that at weak attractive interlayer coupling the mean frequencies of neuron impulses become equal but the oscillations of the symmetrical nodes remain weakly correlated.
