HIGHLIGHTS
- What: This study investigates the awareness perceptions and dietary behaviors related to iron intake among athletes focusing on the prevalence and impact of iron deficiency. The analysis showed that 50% of participants who often consumed iron-rich foods reported no symptoms of iron deficiency, while 33% of those who rarely consumed these foods experienced symptoms. Despite its limitations, this study provides valuable insights that can inform future research and guide practical recommendations for athletes.
