SUMMARY
Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem_cells (hUC-MSCs) have shown stronger proliferation and differentiation ability compared with human bone mesenchymal stem_cells (hBMSCs) and human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem_cells (hAD-MSCs). Through thermal and non-thermal mechanisms, ultrasound can produce various biological effects in_vitro and in_vivo, including mechanical effect, tissue temperature rise, acoustic cavitation, and acoustic streaming. Rat knee articular cartilage defect models were established to verify LIPUS- and hUCMSC-based cartilage regeneration in_vivo. Although the concept of "LIPUS-stimulated and hUCMSC-mediated cartilage regeneration" has been previously reported, this study validated in_vivo experiments in injured . . .
