Rational combinatorial targeting by adapter car-t-cells (adcar-t) prevents antigen escape in acute myeloid leukemia

• What: The authors provide a comprehensive overview of both inter- and intratumoral heterogeneity in target antigen expression in pediatric AML and identify preexisting antigen-negative or low subpopulations prone to antigen escape. The authors evaluated a cohort of primary pediatric AML samples by multicolor flow cytometry to define the landscape of potential target antigens. The authors demonstrate as a proof-of-concept that the AdCAR platform can be easily adapted to meet these requirements.
