  • What: In this context the authors propose a methodological approach which uses humanoid robots as proxies of social interaction partners and embeds them in experimental protocols that adapt classical paradigms of cognitive psychology to interactive scenarios. In the two case studies presented in this paper, the authors decided to use the exact same behaviors of the robot across two different cultures (thus, the authors did not vary its gestures or expressiveness in a culturally dependent manner), as the focus of this study was to replicate the exact same parameters of the experimental design across labs across continents . . .
