- What: In this study the objective was to develop a novel tool the additive bias (ad-IAT) to investigate the reasons underlying people`s preference for additive actions. This motivates the present study, where, inspired by the principles and methods of cognitive psychology, the authors aimed at developing a new digital tool, employable on a large scale, that can be used to understand (and ultimately) mitigate the additive bias.
